Micromax Canvas 6 With Fingerprint Scanner Launched at Rs. 13,999




Micromax on Tuesday unveiled the Canvas 6 smartphone in India. Priced at Rs. 13,999, the new Micromax Canvas 6 will be available exclusively via Flipkart apart from the company's online store.

To recall, the domestic handset maker initially showcased the smartphone last month alongside the Canvas 6 Pro. The Micromax Canvas 6 was until now available for pre-order via the company's online store alongside the Canvas 6 since last month. The company says the smartphone will be available to buy from Tuesday.

One of the biggest advantages of the Micromax Canvas 6 over the Canvas 6 Pro, is that the former sports a fingerprint scanner at the back. Another highlight of the smartphone is it packs metal unibody which means non-removable battery. Much like the Micromax Canvas 6 Pro, the Canvas 6 also supports 4G LTE. According to the official Micromax listing, the Canvas 6 supports both the LTE bands in India - FDD 1800MHz (Band 3) and TDD 2300MHz (Band 40).

To recall its specifications, the Micromax Canvas 6 features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) IPS display. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 SoC clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with 3GB of RAM. There is 32GB of inbuilt storage and the handset supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 128GB).

The Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Canvas 6 will come with deep integration of Around Yu, a service aggregator platform from Micromax. The dual-SIM handset sports a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash and also comes with an 8-megapixel front-facing fixed-focus camera. The Canvas 6 is backed by a 3000mAh battery which is rated to deliver a talk time of up to 25 hours and a standby time of up to 305 hours. The new smartphone will come preloaded with some apps including Amazon Kindle, Hike, Milive, Gaana, Opera max, Quikr, Skype, Snapdeal, Swiftkey, Vuliv, and Udio wallet.

Acer Liquid M330 With 4.5-Inch Display, Windows 10 Mobile Launched

Acer introduced its Liquid M330 smartphone back in September last year during the IFA 2015 conference. The Windows 10 Mobile-based smartphone was launched with seven different handsets at the conference. Meizu m3 note With 5.5-Inch Display, 4100mAh Battery Launched

Meizu launched its m3 note smartphone on Wednesday. The smartphone will go on sale in China from Monday, and registrations for the first sale have begun. The smartphone has been launched in two variants, with the 2GB of RAM/ 16GB of inbuilt storage version priced at CNY 799 (roughly Rs. 8,200), and the 3GB of RAM/ 32GB storage version priced at CNY 999 (roughly Rs. 10,300).
